The refurbishment of 201 West George Street is C2’s second project for Robert Jones Holdings, a New Zealand-based property company. RJH buys tired, under-occupied office buildings and updates them to create ready-to-occupy suites, each with its own well-designed tea point.

RJH is exacting about finishes, and we spent a lot of time selecting the straight grain walnut veneer wall panels and bespoke marble floor slabs for the main entrance area. The walnut contrasts with the black and white directory boards and other new signage. The refurbished toilets have similarly high quality finishes and offer shower facilities for cyclists.

Scandinavian parquet flooring in the corridors, glass doors and simple plasterboard ceilings with suspended LED fittings in the office suites create a sense of lightness throughout the building.
