The NHS24 call centres provided a very important service to the community and due to the critical nature of the work, it was essential to create an environment which supports that, hence the quiet, well-lit and distraction-free interior design solution. The centre facilitates 280 Nurse Advisors whilst delivering life-saving advice as well as “calm & compassion”.
Brighter colours and attractive mood lighting are employed in the Breakout Zone and Quiet Room and specialist needs are catered for in areas such as the Voice Listening Lab and the Medical Library, across the 24/7 existence of the centre.
The solution was winner of the European Award for Environment as well as receiving a BCO award for Best Major Refurbishment.
