24 St Vincent Place, Glasgow

The red sandstone Citizen building is a Glasgow landmark – originally built as the headquarters of the Evening Citizen newspaper. C2’s category A refurbishment of the listed Victorian building for Highbridge Estates has transformed the interior ‒ turning uninspiring cellular offices into light, spacious open plan suites.

The design makes the most of the building’s generous volumes and abundant original features: areas of exposed brickwork, timber windows opening on to stone balconies and an exposed pitched roof structure on the fourth floor.

The roman numerals of the XXIV motif that features on the interior walls are inspired by the clockface on the building’s historic facade.
